The aim of leadership consulting is to develop solutions to a specific problem in a management context. Unlike coaching, in which the coachees generally choose a process-oriented approach aimed at helping them to help themselves, leadership consulting is more of a guided analysis and evaluation of an issue from management practice, conducted from a professional perspective. Here, the consultant takes on more of a subject expert role, providing the manager/leader with practical direction and tips.
Form | As is the case with coaching, leadership consulting sessions may employ a range of methods. Consulting is provided by an experienced leadership and management specialist from the Human Resources Department. |
Duration | Leadership consulting sessions are generally one-off meetings lasting between 30 and 60 minutes. Up to two further sessions may be arranged if necessary. |
Costs | Leadership consulting is free of charge for managers and leaders at UZH. |
