Retirement

Employees must retire when they reach the age of 65 at the latest.
This applies regardless of gender and does not depend on the regular retirement age (64 for women and 65 for men).

We recommend that you give some thought about your pension planning at an early stage and make use of the available educational resources. You can find information regarding courses, early retirement and temporary continued employment in the fact sheet on retirement (below).

Association of Retired UZH Employees

The Association of Retired UZH Employees (PVUZH) provides former employees with a platform for maintaining contact with the university and other alumni.

Seniors' University of Zurich UZH3

The Seniors’ University of Zurich UZH3 is looking forward to welcoming new members. As a member you will be able to attend all the lectures in our program. They offer an insight into a wide range of research topics across all the faculties of the University of Zurich every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. We also organize a series of courses, visits to Labs or exhibitions.
