Union of Public Employees (VPOD)

Profile	Around 7000 people are organised in the VPOD (Verband des Personals öffentlicher Dienste), the union of public employees. The VPOD conducts negotiations to improve working conditions, social security, wages, etc. It also intervenes in cantonal politics on behalf of public employees. The VPOD university chapter is open to all UZH employees. Technical and administrative personnel as well as teaching and research staff including professors are welcome to join.
