Equality, Diversity, Inclusion

The office for Equality, Diversity, Inclusion (EDI) is the central body of UZH for topics concerning the promotion of equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion. The office belongs to the Central Services of UZH and is subordinate to the Deputy President. The main tasks of EDI include:

• Realization and execution of policies and strategies, “best practice” measures, and projects
•  Consulting of individual UZH members as well as whole university entities
• Gathering and monitoring of EDI-relevant data
• Executive management of the Commission for Gender Equality and Diversity as well as the Commission for Inclusion
• Administrative management of UZH’s financial contributions to the khiz foundation
• Representation of UZH’s EDI values internally (UZH) as well as externally (Switzerland, Europe)
• Communication and raising awareness
