Behavioural Simulator for Professional Training based on Natural Language Interaction (June 2016 - Sep 2017)

The Department of Computational Linguistics is partner in a CTI-Project together with La Scuola universitaria professionale della Svizzera italiana (SUPSI) and LifeLike, a company specialized in video simulation-based learning· The project strives to improve the interaction between a novice (e.g. learner) and a patient (simulated by an actor in a video) by using speech recognition instead of pre-specified texts. The communicative skills of the novice are also focussed on, namely his/her empathy, responsiveness, politeness. See also our project poster: CTI Project LifeLike. (PDF, 295 KB)
