In 2017 I completed my Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics (specializing in Clinical Linguistics and Neurolinguistics) at the University of Erfurt.

During my studies I focused in particular on language processing, language development disorders and acquired language disorders (in children and adults - especially the topic of Aphasia). Developmental and acquired Dyslexia and (multilingual) language acquisition were also focal points of my studies.

I really enjoy both speech therapy with adults and with children. After working as a speech therapist in Kindergarten, in a center for hearing-impaired/deaf children and adolescents as well as an internship in a neurological rehabilitation clinic, I started working as a speech therapist for various schools in Zurich. I also worked at a secondary school for hearing-impaired and deaf young people.

I am very interested in optimizing speech therapy and looking forward to researching this exciting topic as part of the project „Neurological basis of reading acquisition in adolescents with hearing loss“. I hope to gain new insights into neurological processes, which enable us to offer hearing-impaired/deaf children and young people more effective support in developing written language.
