Linguistic glossing is word-level annotation of morphosyntactic categories and cross-linguistic lexical correspondence which allows linguists to match sentence structures across languages. Glossed sentences are typically found as examples in linguistic studies, but glosses are currently starting to be systematically applied to large collections of sentences in language corpora. In order to provide glossed corpora big enough to be used for quantitative studies, this process needs to be automatised. In this talk, I will present the work I have done with colleagues from the Department of Comparative Linguistic on automatic processing of Chintang using several statistical tools and techniques.
