The Phonogram Archives and editionmevinapuorger [https://www.editionmevinapuorger.ch/] have just co-published a volume of articles by the well-known Romansh scholar Heinrich Schmid (1921-1999) in anticipation of his 100th birthday next year. Heinrich Schmid is best known for creating Rumantsch Grischun, which he established in 1982 to serve as a superregional orthographic standard for the various Romansh idioms in the Swiss Canton of Grisons. Beyond that he was a renowned expert on comparative Romance philology and published numerous very insightful accounts on how post-classical Latin underwent a whole array of different developments in the various parts of the Romance linguistic landscape.
